I’m going to try to start bringing back monthly/bi-monthly polls here at PSO, since they tend to be interesting and something that’s fun to discuss. The most recent poll asked your current place in all these current Recon shenanigans that are happening. I was pleasantly surprised to find that over 60% of you guys are using our guide to get the job done! Unsurprisingly, a tenth of you felt that getting Recon pretty much makes you a loser. A fair assumption.

Or is it?

What is Recon to you guys? Is it a hard earned trophy (despite guides like ours), or an over-rated cocktease that Bungie finally let out of their pants?

Speaking of cocks*, the new poll should provide for some excellent discussion when the results are shown. I would love to see more user activity on this site, considering we have so many viewers each day.** So get commenting and discussing. Cuz that’s what nerds do on the internet.

*This actually has nothing to do with cocks whatsoever.

Recon was fun to get, and while it’s not the coveted wonder-armor that it was, it still looks good and I’m a bit proud of it.

Thanks for the guides by the way. They were good. Too bad I didn’t see the Deja Vu guide. Such a painful two and a half hours.

I suppose being that was among the first 20 or so non-Bungie employees to receive Recon, I should put in my own two cents.

It was an HONOR to receive it from Bungie. It was also an honor to wear it proudly, knowing I received it for years of service to the Bungie community (and running the extremely successful web comic, Halo Babies). However, I didn’t like my account getting stolen, thousands of messages from ignorant noobs, people pretending to be me, etc etc.

So I can say that I’m relieved to be semi-normal again, and that I think Recon was fantastic, when Bungie wasn’t giving it away on every street corner. Now it’s just another cool armor permutation.

I thought Recon was semi cool until Smiley got it. Then it was just normal haha And now everyone has it so it’s not special anymore. But i did enjoy making fun of Smiley because of all his noob friend requests =D

Even before ODST came out i thought too many people had Recon. Bungie started handing it out too much and I’m hoping they will come out with a new armor. As far as Recon goes, I enjoy having it but I mainly played just to say I got it. Same with Hiyabusa, I don’t wear it, I just like saying I have it.

Word to the wise: New armors can’t be added to Halo 3. It’s hard-coded stuff, my man.

i don’t even get it, the only resson people want recon is because it is “that armour”

in my opinion recon isn’t was cool as half the other armours
