In my travels to many different websites out there, I have seen many many types of users; and along with that, many different types of commenters. For the longest time I have become absolutely convinced that the dumbest users of all time live on YouTube. Being someone who releases videos on YouTube every week that get tens (sometimes hundreds) of thousands of views, I’ve seen my fair share.

Fortunately, the wonderful college-aged members of CollegeHumor.com make YouTube commenters look like college professors. Unfortunately, this is a treat often missed by casual viewers of the site, because you can’t even view the comments until you create a site account! I would highly recommend it, as the comments are generally more entertaining than the videos themselves (which are also generally entertaining). Here’s the set of comments that gave me this dumb epiphany from this video. All of these comments are in response to the first comment, which was the first comment for the video:
