Pyroman and I got interviewd by Matt Mogle of Machinima.com a short while ago. It’s a nice little audio gem containing the following:
1. Pyroman sucking at being interviewed
2. Me talking WAY too much
3. Both of us making asses of ourselves
4. A bit of insight into how the whole production process works
5. More of us making asses of ourselves
Sounds entertaining! Check out the actual post here, or go straight the audio interview here.
So you’ve probably already noticed the dopey little ad at the top left of the site by now. OMG YES, an AD. (cue evil music now)
Before your panties end up in a massive bunch, let me explain. First thing, this is only a temporary thing at the moment. Personally, I hate ads, which is why HaloBabies.net has been ad-free every since it was first launched years ago. Second, the ad really isn’t that bad. No animations, no sounds, no accidental mouse overs. It’s just that pic and that’s it.
Finally, the ONLY reason Pyro and I even considered this, is the fact that, well… it’s MST3K!!! RiffTrax and MST3K are the sole inspiration of Master Chief Theater 3000, and that’s a fact. If there is one site who should get our support, it’s them.
So all you have to do is click on the ad, buy a movie or two (they are like $.99-$4 each), and we get a small percentage of that. Hopefully that works out for us, cuz it costs money for equipment, hosting, etc. That and we spend a lot of time on these!
So I’m aware like most of you that Machinima.com tends to release so many various videos onto YouTube each day that there’s really no way to tell which ones are any good. Sadly, most of the actual in-game machinima series are generally crap.
I just saw one that rivals even DigitalPh33r’s work! The cinematography is breathtaking, the writing is good, and dare I say it… it has GOOD VOICE ACTING. I was especially impressed with the Elite voice filter, which sounds almost better than the actual game! Check it out here (I would recommend watching the high quality version), or watch it below. Was I right?
