Just a few juicy bits in this weeks weekend update.

Pyro and I have finished an intro video to our Season 1 DVD of MCT3K. Sadly, this is not for sale, and probably won’t ever be. We created the DVD to give to Bungie as a gift, and we filmed a entertaining little intro, which we will post here soon. We WILL, however, be giving away our DVD as a gift. I designed the cover, which is pretty nice, and DVD itself isn’t that bad quality wise. Not up to my personaly standards, but certainly better than YouTube!

As I write this, I just finished up our first video from the Smiley’s PAX Adventure series! It’s more of a retarded intro to scare you away from continuing to watch the series. Homophobes need not apply. If you haven’t seen the little teaser yet, check it out below. It will tell you absolutely nothing about the series.

Season 2
Season 2 of Master Chief Theater 3000 is started NEXT WEEK! Crazy, huh!? Pyro and I are going to start work this weekend (while I’m in Seattle… that’s DEDICATION!). Remember, first episode comes out September 5th, through Machinima.com on YouTube!

1 Halo Down, 2 More to Go!
If you are among the 97.9% of YouTube viewers who don’t read the descriptions on videos (or who don’t watch the credits), you are probably wondering what’s next for MCT3K. We finished Halo 3 with Season 1 of the series, gaining almost 1.5 MILLION views along the way. We are coming on 200 members to this site, and are absolutely thrilled, to say the least!

Next season we will be tackling Halo 2, with Halo 1 finishing things up in Season 3. What’s next after that? Well, we’re not quite sure! What do you think?

New YouTube Playlist = Easy Viewing
MCT3K just got a new YouTube playlist! Getting tired of accidentally clicking on episodes? Annoyed that you can’t start at the beginning and jump from one episode to another? This will solve all those problems. Enjoy!

Due to the response to the last poll we put up, we will no longer be posting up our MC’s Cutoffs series before the actual corresponding MCT3K episode is released. I appreciate everyone who voted in this. We will be posting many more polls in the future that help determine the future of the series and site, and we love to hear what you guys think!

Our new poll is a very simple one to see which episode was your favorite out of the series. Ideally, I would go back and watch the whole season to make an informed decision, but then again that’s just me. I recommend  using our new MCT3K Playlist on YouTube to make the a lot easier. When this polls ends (when Season 2 starts), we will take a look at the results, and see what we did right in your favorite episodes. If you guys have any additional comments on the episodes, feel free to leave them here or in our forum.

EA WINS THE INTERNET
Never thought I would be saying this… but… dayum. EA wins.

The Season 1 finale is finally out! Machinima.com was gracious to release it a bit earlier than usual. I know a lot of people have been waiting for this. Check out the rest of the episodes on our MCT3k page.

On a personal note, I’m not gonna say this is the funniest episode, but I think it has it’s moments. It was really difficult to riff this one due to lack of dialogue, heh. Be sure to rate/comment on YouTube, and stay tuned for Halo 2 in Season 2, starting September 5th!

UPDATE: We had about 10,000 views and 300 comments, and then Machinima.com pulled the video off! I’m not sure why, cuz I can’t get a hold of Pyro. They resubmitted it, but now we’re starting completely over again! Shafted!

UPDATE 2: I chatted with our man over at Machinima.com, and apparently the original video had their logo added to it, even though we already added it to the original video. So yeah… it was pulled. Oh well, go ever there and watch/rate today and tomorrow to make up for it!

It’s official. The first target of our new “Shorts” series will be Gears of War for the Xbox 360. Pyro and I have already started playing through the campaign so he can capture all of the cutscenes. We are not necessarily going to use them all, but it’s nice to have a selection. It blows me away that the only versions of these cutscenes are the ones on Youtube. CRAPTACULAR!

Just to clarify, this is NOT the subject of Season 2. This is simply an extra series that will run concurrently with our normal MCT3K seasons. We’ve yet to decide whether it should be members-only or not. What do you guys think?

The latest episode of Master Chief’s Cutoffs is now up in our Extras section. If you are someone who loves seeing these before the actual episode is released, or someone who feels it horribly spoils the upcoming episode (and who obviosly has no self control to not watch it!), please sound off by voting in the poll to the left. I am totally cool with waiting to release the cutoffs until after the actual episode, I just feel that since it features deleted riffs and stuff, it’s more of a teaser than it is a spoiler. But hey, maybe I’m wrong.

Since I’m already up late finishing up the next Master Chief’s Cutoffs, I decided to create 10 new PSO riffs and add them to the mix. For those who are wondering what I’m talking about, our top site logo is randomized so that it changes whenever you refresh the page, providing for a different riff whenever you re-visit the site! We’re basically riffing ourselves, so it’s for your own enjoyment. The new additions tonight make for 40 total riffs for our logo. We’re not gonna tell you what the all are (but if some crazed fan wants to make a list in the forum feel free, haha.)

If you have ideas for new riffs to use let us know here!

So this next poll deals with a topic I’ve been wrestling for a while. We will be releaseing the Cutoffs reel later today, before the final episode of season 1 is released last week. Last week, we released the Cutoffs episode about a day before. Are you guys cool with us doing this? Does it ruin the episode for you when you actually see it? Or does it work well as a teaser? To the loyal 2 people that will actually leave us a comment… let us know! (And obviously, more importantly, vote in the poll to the left.)

I’m sure you are wondering where in the world the last episode for Season 1 is…Well it will hit the interwebz next Friday for all your viewing pleasures. Be sure to mark your calenders! In the mean time, a new Master Chief’s Cutoffs will be released tonight with extras cut out of Episode 11, so stay tuned!
